Same again - but this displays our desire for a 6 panel sliding door instead of the architects 4 panel suggestion. That's a battle we are still fighting. It depends on the structural engineers apparently. If the glass wall is structural then we can't have 6.

I wanted to know what the house would look like - with consistant textures (not just in the new bit) and some garden softness. So I doctored the architects drawings a little.

Potato glut

The potatoes are ready for harvest. We've got rather a lot! This is 2/3 of the first plant harvested (we've got about 50 plants). Anybody got some good potato recipes?!

Tree Planting

While Mum and Dad were visiting they helped plant their birthday present to me - 3 silver birch trees. This photo is 3 weeks later and they seem be very happy. There's also a baby May tree in the earth bank in the background which I planted to act as a wind break.

Permission granted!!!!

We heard this morning that permission in principle has been granted for our plans. They even approved the more ambitious one (4 velux windows instead of 3 - we have small ambitions).
We're very happy indeed.
Next we update the plans with our recent thoughts and submit for full permission (once PIP is agreed this is more or less a formality). We'll start getting a builder lined up too.
