Potatoes again

Potatoes again

In lieu of having news of the impending building works, here's some light entertainment courtesy of the vegetable patch. The potatoes should be ready in around 3-4 weeks. Hope the planning permission bears fruit around the same time.

Cruise ship

The other side of the headland there's this massive cruise liner - the shot looked much better when the ship was stern-on - really quite surreal - but by the time I got the camera, it had drifted.
Aiden, the architect, will go off to see the stuctural engineers tomorrow and then we'll see if the scheme for the house is really possible. Then all we have to do is wait for the planning permission ...

Sailing ships at Saint's View

While waiting for the Planning in Principle decision to be made, we're just enjoying the onset of summer at the house. Got up the other morning and there was this flotilla of boats in full sail heading for St Peter Port - the picture hardly does it justice, they really filled the view.

Mo

Mo

Robomow (or "Mo" as he's now called) is chomping away at our lawn. Fantastic results, almost no noise and much more time on our hands to brag about how lovely our lawn is. It's about to start mowing at night (this is the accepted wisdom that stops children getting too inquisitive about it) and after the honeymoon period is over, we're expecting nothing but short grass and feet up (as if the kids would let that happen).
